750 g flour
Approx. 400 g warm water
1 packet dry yeast
2 tablespoons sugar

Thick sweet condensed milk

In a small bowl, mix yeast and sugar with 4 tablespoons of warm water and let rest for 15 minutes.

Knead the flour, the rest of the water and the yeast mixture into a smooth dough. Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and let it rest for about 1 hour in a warm place.

Knead the dough, then form a roll. Divide them into about 30 small balls. Cover again with a kitchen towel and leave to rise in a warm place for 45 minutes.

– Preparation in the electric steamer: Fill the steamer with water according to the instructions and bring to the boil. Place the dough balls in the Steamer (2 cm distance). Steam for approx. 10 minutes.

– Preparation in the bamboo steamer: Line the bamboo steamer with a cheesecloth and steam the mántou for about 15 minutes. Switch off the stove and let it simmer for another 10 minutes.

– Or deep fry.

When eating, dip the mántou in the sweet condensed milk.
